The water tank is made of 316L stainless steel and has clean smooth surfaces that are easy to clean and resist corrosion by most chemicals. We choose to make the exterior of our evaporators out of 304 stainless steel. Many of our competitors make theirs out of painted steel. We have seen many of them in the field starting to rust out after only 2 years of use. Our stainless housing looks great for ever.
