About Steele, Inc.

In the mid-1980's Heat Stress became recognized as a major workplace health concern. Responding to customer requests, Sandra Steele, a safety professional, designed the Steele body cooling vest. Within a short period of time 98% of nuclear facilities stocked the product, and hundreds of industries followed suit. The US Military had also been searching for efficient body cooling and welcomed the innovative product.

To ensure the SteeleVest's effectiveness and safety, rigorous testing was done by numerous third party organizations (NATICK, NASA, Naval Health Research Center, and others). All of the testing showed significant physiological benefits in wearing the SteeleVest. Subsequently, the Steele body cooling vest was supplied to the entire US Naval Fleet as well as the British Royal Fleet.

Steele Inc. continues to stay ahead of the competition with new and innovative cooling products. The latest, the STEELE COOL-UNDERVEST, is designed to be worn under uniforms or other attire.
